Dear Rodeo Supporter!
Thank you! Thank you for your past support of Helluva Rodeo (formerly Pinckney Community Rodeo) or your potential support in 2008! We appreciate you! Without you this just would not be the GREAT TIME that it is and we would never be able to make EFFECTIVE CHANGE in our community. And we do that-we make effective change each and every year.
We have all heard the dire reports about our Michigan economy and are watching gas prices go up and up, and some of our businesses are surely feeling it in our bottom line. But when you stop to think about it-what does it really mean? It means people are traveling out of the state less. It means they are looking for ways to enjoy themselves locally and close to home. But they still want that unique day of adventure and fun for themselves and their families. And they want it to be affordable and meaningful. That means LOCAL events are more important than ever to our bread and butter clients; the clients we have close to our businesses that are dedicated to us every day of the year. And those clients are at the Rodeo! In 2007 our Rodeo attendance doubled over previous years. By making it a great day of fun at an affordable price and focusing our event on Charity needs, the spectators came out in droves, or herds! Each and every one of those attendees is your potential client or a client you serve that will see your community support before their eyes. The best way to weather an economic turmoil is to continue to reach out to your clients with offers, advertising and continued good will in your community. Only the businesses in our community can serve our community in the best ways possible. As a Rodeo supporter you can get all that and more.
On this web site you will find many important materials for your review. Please take 10 minutes to enjoy the video (linked at the top of the page) - this is the HUB TV coverage of our event last year. And please review the sponsorship and advertising opportunities presented here. We offer our sponsorships on a first come, first serve basis each spring. And they go really fast, so don’t hesitate to contact us and snag your favorite event. Helluva Rodeo is becoming a premiere late summer event in Livingston County and it brings thousands of people into one place for one great day. Don’t you want to seize that moment and grab some of that exposure for your business? Not only can you sponsor and get your name plastered on banners, in the program and all over the event, but you can be there too if you like! Please check out our Business Expo application! The more the merrier, and nothing works better than meeting the public face to face in a relaxed, fun atmosphere to garner good feelings about your business-and that turns into dollars when that client remembers you from the Rodeo!
We are working hard to make this event a marketing opportunity for our sponsors and advertisers. But our main goal is always the kids and families that benefit from the success of our Rodeo. This year our main beneficiary is the Pinckney Instrumental Music Boosters Program, which positively supports over 600 families in our area. The music program is an integral part of any good education and with budget cuts and challenging economic times in our schools this support is very important. Our secondary beneficiaries are the Mackinac Island Honor Scouts and Friends of the Lakeland Trail. Each of these groups helps LOCAL families and children reach goals, make a difference and effect change in our area. Our sponsorships and advertising covers the cost of our event. The ticket sales then become pure profit and therefore pure donation to our beneficiaries. On top of the three beneficiaries our event supports Girl Scouting and Boy Scouting in our area. All in all we give upwards of $10,000 a year away to these groups and beneficiaries. But we can’t do it without your support.
So jump on board for the kids and families-the ones that are your clients and patrons-but also jump on board for the great marketing opportunity this event presents for you. We are like no other event in the area. You will feel great when you support this day of fun, family and excitement. And don’t forget to mark your calendar and join us yourself!

SERIOUS FUN FOR CHARITY!
To participate, simply fill out the forms from the left column that apply to what you would like to do. You can call Renee at 734.878.6425 for answers to questions or browse our website. But do it now-the best things go fast. A committee member will follow up with you in person later this spring. But don’t wait-email and mail is the best way to respond!
Just because we in Michigan are facing a small economic challenge does not mean we want our treasured LOCAL events and our LOCAL customers to suffer. Now is the time to support all LOCAL events that bring customers together and present marketing opportunities and now is the time to nurture our LOCAL clients and events so they can survive these times along with us. In bad times the business rule is REACH OUT-reach out more with advertising, event support and sponsorships that can make a difference to your bottom line and to your community quality of life. The Rodeo is all that rolled into one great day-be a part of it!
We thank you in advance for your prompt attention and support of our event. We welcome all suggestions, participation and involvement from businesses and individuals at all times of the year. Let us hear from you!
